Aaron Donald: “He’s A Veteran Guy That Played A Lot Of Football In This League” Never Undervalue Joe Flacco For the Bengals, at quarterback
The Cowboys’ victory over the Seahawks on Thursday night raises the possibility that the LA Rams will make a last-ditch playoff run.
The Cleveland Browns, who are still in the running, are the team the Rams take on and have different quarterback options.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson will undoubtedly start for Cleveland if he passes the concussion test; if not, Joe Flacco will start.
Aaron Donald, a defensive tackle for the Rams, says the team is prepared for either scenario.
Regarding the various playing styles at line caller for Cleveland, Donald remarked, “Well, you got a guy (Flacco) that’s more of an in-the-pocket type quarterback that probably won’t be able to do as much in a running game.”
“Then you have a mobile quarterback who is able to run and throw the ball, among many other things. You simply need to get ready for both. Just watching film of both players will help you understand that a player like Joe Flacco won’t be as mobile as another player who can run and perform certain things, like quarterback runs. You need to get ready for that.”
Donald has obviously been following Flacco for a long time and thinks highly of him.
When asked about Flacco, who signed with the Browns two weeks ago, Donald responded, “Well, he’s a veteran guy that played a lot of football in this league.”
“I saw him as a young child when he played for the Ravens against the Steelers. He obviously gained a great deal of experience from playing this game for a long time.
“In terms of mobility and other things, [he is] a different quarterback than what they had. However, you also need to prepare for the veteran presence, comprehend what he’s seeing, and occasionally get the ball out quickly. You simply are ignorant. All you need to do is prepare for both.”

Ohio’s Cleveland It makes sense that there were concerns about the Browns run game following Nick Chubb’s season-ending injury. But Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt, the starting lineup for the Reds, have been very productive since the bye week.
The Browns run game, which leads the team in yards per game (139.5), has been reliable overall and has been the engine of the offense. Ford, who lights up the outside and excels in big gains, and Hunt, who pushes his way through the line for the first down, are your two options.
Ford is 14th in the league in yards through 11 games with 628 yards on 145 carries (4.3 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. Hunt has 89 carries for 286 yards (3.2 yards per carry) and six touchdowns through nine games.
