Ex-England star on Sheffield United’s interest in 2024 Super Eagles invitee: “One of the players”

Reactions to reports that Sheffield United is interested in 2024 Super Eagles invitee Gabriel Osho have come from former England midfielder Carlton Palmer.

When Osho’s contract with Luton Town expires on June 30, 2024, he will leave Kenilworth Road. He has been linked to a number of teams, including Sheffield United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Trabzonspor.

With two goals in twenty-one Premier League appearances last season, the central defender demonstrated that he is a player capable of competing in the top division.

Athletically speaking, Luton Town and Osho did not fare well; after just one season in the Premier League, the Hatters were demoted back to the Championship.

Palmer has disclosed that the chances of the Blades restructuring their roster are being hampered by the unfinished acquisition of Sheffield United.

Gabriel Osho, a versatile player for Luton, is one of the players that Sheffield United are interested in, he told Football League World.

“Osho, who is a versatile player who can play center back or right back, has been crucial to Luton’s recent success.

Although Sheffield United has entered the race to sign him, Luton won’t want to lose him, and their issues with the takeover of the football club notbeing ratified are not

Osho, who was regarded as one of the best defenders in Nigeria and participated in the top five European leagues the previous season, was invited to join the Super Eagles for two friendlies in March 2024 against Ghana and Mali.

Nevertheless, a knee injury sustained against Crystal Palace forced the former captain of Reading’s youth team to withdraw from the starting lineup.
