As of April 20, the top five transfer portal classes are as follows: Indiana at No. 1, Kansas at No. 2, UCLA at No. 3, Missouri at No. 4, and Illinois at No. 5.
Ballo weighs 260 pounds and is 7 feet tall. He is still eligible to attend college for one more year.
As a fifth-year senior last season, Ballo averaged 12.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game while starting 36 games. Across all 2-point attempts, he shot 65.8% from the field, and 49.5% from the free-throw line.
In the 2022–2023 season, Ballo had his best season to date as a junior, averaging 14.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 27.6 minutes per game. He had a field goal percentage of 64.7% and a free-throw percentage of 56.5%.
The native of Mali started his career at Gonzaga, where he redshirted in 2019–20 and played 24 games off the bench in 2020–21. Prior to the 2021–22 season, Ballo moved to Arizona, where he played a crucial role as a frontcourt player for the Wildcats for three years.
Ballo has made 71 starts in 132 games over his career, averaging 9.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. Despite never trying a 3-point shot, his career field goal percentage is 64.6%, and he has shot 56.4% from the free-throw line.
Ballo was selected for the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team, Pac-12 All-Tournament Team, and First Team Pac-12.
Arlyle apparently received offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, and other highly regarded programs before deciding on the Hoosiers.
Atlanta (GA) native Carlyle, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard, averaged 11.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
As a freshman for Stanford, Carlyle scored 11.5 points per game on average. He is an amazing passer who moves the ball forward. In his first year of college, he demonstrated his ability to score from three points range and also showed off his ability to get to the rim off the dribble.
Rice, a 6-foot-2 point guard, still has three years left on her college diploma.
