Kentucky guard Koby Brea, one of the country’s best three-point shooters last season, has formally withdrawn from the 2024 NBA Draft.

Last season, the 6-foot-6 guard played at Dayton and shot 49.8 percent from beyond the arc, averaging three made threes on 6.1 attempts per game.

He ranked third in the country in three-point field goal percentage, trailing only former Kentucky guard Reed Sheppard (52.1 percent), who declared for the 2024 NBA Draft on Apr. 18, and Wofford’s Chase Cormier (51.6 percent).

He’s a significant addition to the Wildcats, which ranks 45th in the country in On3’s transfer portal team rankings.

Several of Kentucky’s top players either left for the NBA Draft or followed former head coach John Calipari to Arkansas, leaving head coach Mark Pope with a lot on his plate in his first offseason leading the program.

Brea is Pope’s eighth transfer-portal addition, which is where Pope has built his first Wildcats roster. Kentucky is 39th in 247 Sports’ Composite 2024 recruiting rankings.
