On Signing Day, Mario Cristobal analyzes the 2024 recruiting class.
“Judd Anderson makes an impression right away with a few distinct things. First and foremost, leadership abilities. He also showed us how to play basketball. It was amazing how well he could move to make people lose their balance and how well he had body control to twist out of really awkward body positions. Subsequently, he was a relatively inexperienced quarterback at one high school before transferring to another, and you could observe his statistical performance there. Achieving that many yards, that kind of completion percentage, and that many touchdowns is difficult. His natural leadership abilities and unwavering toughness and unflappability are noteworthy. When you’re the one making every play contact with the football, it has
“Great players down here. High level of development down here. We’ve got South Broward High School and Chris Wheatley-Humphrey and Jordan Lyle from St. Thomas. Two guys that just amassed a massive amount of yardage this year, tough yards, open-field yards, make-people-miss yards, catch the ball out of the backfield. Really physical, really talented, really intelligent, high IQ guys, both on and off the field. Thrilled to have them.”
We had the good fortune to have him shift his focus to this area after he decommitted. He is similar to these guys, a rocket ship that is incredibly quick and explosive. He is a competitor who, in the words of his coach, will find a way to win when the ball is in the air, much like the coaches Dameon Jones and Roger Harriott have said of Sean Calhoun up at Colquitt.
County, that these three guys are just selfless teammates and fierce competitors. Indeed, they desire the ball. They will block for their teammates because they recognize the importance of their teammates and, yes, they want to score and probably touch the ball on every play. They only want to win, so they’ll put in a lot of effort for them during the offseason. That room has just made a huge advancement in the right direction.”
“Just like Chance, we’ve known about Jojo for a very long time. These guys are all acquainted. These two guys are from the area. I mean, that’s the best it gets, right? These guys resemble human motion pictures. You watch Jojo and some of the things he’s done on his own over the last few weeks. You understand that, dude, this is a guy—Chance—for whom we have been recruiting nationwide for a number of years. i Once more, Jojo has been known to us for a very long time. These guys all know one another. These two guys live nearby. That is the best there is, isn’t it? These individuals are living highlight reels. You observe Jojo and some of the things he’s accomplished in the last two weeks by himself. You understand that, man—this is a guy—for whom we have been recruiting across the nation for several years, someone like Chance. Me
We always go back to Chance because he really started this when he committed right there, right after the spring game. That attracted a lot of attention and caused many other guys who played together as kids to start thinking about attending the University of Miami. But in the last twelve, maybe eighteen months, that guy’s physicality and development have completely changed. Right now, he seems prepared for college. Fantastic family, athletic, quick, and powerful. makes every contested catch; he is simply an exceptional athlete and individual.”
“He handles everything. You watch him do everything, and that makes him the most versatile football player I have ever seen. Watching him empty out and running the football like a tight end in motion, he gets the backfield and runs it as well as any tailback you’ll ever see on screen. can play wide receiver or detached tight end to extend the field. He is visible in the center as a blocker, and he also plays defense and vertical field stretching. Extremely tough, athletic, explosive, and tough. He is similar to Artavius in that he possesses strength and power by nature. At that age, a naturally occurring power cleaner with 300+ is unusual. They’re not easily found. Thus, this is another
