An exciting update on injury recovery is provided by Uchenna Nwosu.
When outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu tore his pectoral muscle in October of last year, the Seattle Seahawks defense suffered a serious blow. After losing both its best run defender and its best pass rusher for the season, Nwosu’s injury seriously jeopardized Seattle’s depth at the position.
At the team’s Renton facilities, a number of players held press conferences to kick off the Seahawks’ offseason training program. The first news conference following Nwosu’s injury—and his surgery—should excite Seahawks supporters greatly.
Nwosu remarked, “Rehabbing down in L.A. with John Meyer has been a good process.” “I can’t wait to get back on the field. He’s the Los Angeles Clippers’ medical guy, and he’s getting me right. I’d say I have a few weeks before I’m ready to resume playing ball.
“Absolutely,” he responded when asked if he would be prepared for training camp.
Nwosu left the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022 to sign a free agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks. After recording a career-high 9.5 sacks, the former USC standout quickly rose to the top of Seattle’s defense. He inked a three-year, $45 million contract extension during the previous offseason, and he is currently in the first year of it.
