Intel is a 2027 class recruit for women’s high school basketball.
Six nationally renowned prospects in the high school freshmen class are examined by 247Sports.

Regardless of age, the cream usually rises to the top in high school basketball. This year’s freshmen class is the same. Scholarship offers and recruiting momentum are already in place for a number of the top freshmen recruits in the country.

Six nationally notable prospects from the high school freshmen class are highlighted here:

One of the nation’s most adaptable players is now Haylen Ayers. She possesses the intelligence and skill set to play on the ball, but she lacks the size to play off the ball. As a prep prospect, Ayers is similar to WNBA guard Asia Durr in that regard.

Ayers, who was named to the Naismith Trophy Underclass Watch List, has already visited Louisville, LSU, and Tennessee and has received scholarship offers from numerous universities across the coun

Playing all three perimeter positions, Ryan Carter’s Exodus NYC club program really took off over the summer. Carter moved smoothly to the club circuit, where she faced top high school talent, after being given the opportunity to play varsity as an eighth grader.

Georgia, Illinois, and Maryland are just a few of the 2023 NCAA tournament participants who have already extended Carter multiple scholarship offers.

Finley Chastain is a versatile guard who can play both on and off the court. He is left-handed. She is a member of one of the best high school teams in the nation this season, which will only improve her game.

Before Chastain even started high school this year, she decided she would attend Tennessee. Even though that is uncommon in this day of coaching and player mobility, it seems to fit in nicely with her practical approach to the game.

One of the best shooters in the class, Finley Parker just finished a 17-point game on Saturday night against two seniors in the Elite-60 caliber class, Chazadi Wright (a Georgia Tech signee) and Bre Preston (a Texas signee).

Parker, a 6-2 combo forward, has already received offers from Georgia Tech, Alabama, Clemson, and other schools. During fall recruiting, she made unofficial visits to Georgia Tech, Alabama, and Clemson.

Sydney Savoury has demonstrated that she is a formidable three-point shooter. In the modern game, she can be the primary scoring option and is a true big guard. Savoury has already received offers from universities across the nation, such as UCLA, Michigan State, and Central Florida.

In the class, Kaleena Smith has distinguished herself as a top point guard. Despite being one of the smaller lead guards in the class, she was able to compete this summer on the 17-and-under circuit because of how well-developed her game is. Championship schools want Smith’s skillset and shiftiness. Among the universities that have extended scholarship offers to her are LSU and USC.
