Who exactly is Adam Forshaw?
The Whites signed the central midfielder from Middlesbrough in January 2018 for a rumored cost of about £4.5 million.
Prior to his release, the 31-year-old had spent five-and-a-half seasons at Elland Road but had been plagued by injuries. Forshaw has only made 91 appearances for Leeds during his stint with the club.

Although this figure is an estimate, it is unclear how relegation from the Premier League will have affected the deal, with Phil Hay of The Athletic reporting that “Leeds are protected by significant clauses inserted into every player’s contract, which will see wages fall by a minimum of 50% and a maximum of 60%” in the event of relegation.
Forshaw’s total gross wage each year was set at about £1.04 million before tax, making him one of the lowest earners in the Elland Road first-team squad.
Rodrigo and Harrison were the club’s top earners last season, but with both now gone, Junior Firpo, Luis Sinisterra, Georginio Rutter, and Patrick Bamford are the only players that earn more than £55,000 per week for the Whites, according to their estimates.
