Tottenham reportedly could hijack West Ham move to sign ‘exceptional’ 23-year-old

Tottenham are ready to hijack West Ham United’s move to sign Perr Schurrs from Torino this summer.

According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham are keen to sign West Ham target Perr Schurrs in the summer transfer window.

The East London outfit have been chasing the 23-year-old centre-back all summer long.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to add a top-class central defender to his ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

Schurrs would be a brilliant signing for West Ham, but it seems as though Tottenham could be set to beat us to the punch in the race for the Dutchman’s signature…

According to TMW, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is keen to bring Perr Schurrs to North London this summer.

That’s a big blow for the Hammers. I think the Torino star would have been a great addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

Sport Mob recently described the Torino ace as ‘exceptional’, and on his day he is certainly a very good player.

He is an absolute giant in the air and wins pretty much everything thrown his way. The Dutchman is not the quickest, but he reads the game incredibly well.

In 27 Serie A outings last season, Schuurs averaged 1.7 tackles, one interception, 3.2 clearances and two successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).

During those appearances, the Dutchman made 39.8 passes per game on average and recorded a completion rate of 88.2% (Who Scored).

Torino Grata claim that he’s available for around £30-35 million this summer. That kind of fee could end up looking like great value in a few year’s time.

With that in mind, it will be a real shame if Tottenham beat West Ham to the signing of Schuurs in the summer transfer window.
