Ken Bruce I’m not Joe Biden. I’ll leave if people have had enough.
As always, Matt Frei of Channel 4 News interviewed Nancy Pelosi with grace and elegance. When taking on the formidable Democratic leader and first female speaker of the US House of Representatives, you’ll need an abundance of both.
A chat between Pelosi and Vice President Kamala Harris was mentioned. Harris is set to finalize her nomination as the Democratic contender at the party conference in Chicago next week.
Legendary radio host Ken Bruce has acknowledged that he is not rushing to play any of Taylor Swift’s songs on his program.
After making the switch to Greatest music Radio last year, the Radio 2 mainstay now hosts a daily show with a focus on music from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
Ken said that “all her songs are the same” in a recent interview with the Mail on Sunday, ruling out playing Taylor’s music during his slot.
He stated, “When she writes something that isn’t about her ex-boyfriends, I’ll play her on my station.”
“Great radio songs don’t have these lengthy intros that she does; instead, they have three beats and go straight into the song.”
Ken continued by saying that since his show focuses more on hits from the 20th century, Taylor wouldn’t really fit the criteria anyhow.
Many media sources have noted that Ken is running the risk of incurring the wrath of Taylor Swift’s ardent supporters since his interview was released over the weekend. Some have even identified Swifties who have criticized Ken for his perceived “misogyny.”
For a response, HuffPost UK has been in touch with Ken Bruce and Greatest Hits Radio officials.
Criticism of Taylor’s lyrics is nothing new; in 2014, the Grammy winner stated that it is “frankly… a very sexist angle to take” to think that she solely writes songs about her ex-partners.
About Ed Sheeran, nobody makes that claim. At the time, she asserted, “No one says that about Bruno Mars,” and went on, “I have a really strict personal policy that I never name names.” Hence, anyone claiming that a song is
The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor’s eleventh studio album, was released earlier this year. It is commonly believed that the record was influenced by her breakups with Matty Healy and Joe Alwyn.
She is currently touring the world on her record-breaking Eras tour, which will make a comeback to the UK later this month with a series of performances at London’s storied Wembley Stadium.
