Jazz-Warriors Injury Report: Stephen Curry Update
The Utah Jazz will have another opportunity to break their lengthy 11-game losing stretch on Sunday night as they take on the Golden State Warriors for the third time this season.
The Jazz came up short in their last two meetings against this squad back in February, and may have some further difficulties tonight based on the results of their recently released injury report. While we already know Lauri Markkanen is likely to be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season, a few other contributors on the roster are set to be on the sidelines alongside him.
Both teams released their injury reports before Sunday night’s contest, with the Warriors dealing with some trouble on their end as well:
Among the most notable names to be out for this matchup, Stephen Curry is the headliner as he’ll be sitting for rest. Also, for the Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga and Dario Saric are two of their forwards already announced as inactive, with Andrew Wiggins potentially as another, as he’s set to be questionable before tip-off.
The Jazz will also be a bit hobbled, as Jordan Clarkson, John Collins, and Walker Kessler will be three key rotational pieces not in the mix for Sunday. It leaves the door wide open for the younger players on the roster, like Keyonte George, Taylor Hendricks, and Brice Sensabaugh, to show out as a result.
This bout between the Jazz and Warriors will tip off in the Chase Center at 6:30 MT, with the hope that Utah can avoid their 12th-straight defeat.
