The Arizona Cardinals didn’t change much about their offense this offseason.
None of their free agent signings on that side of the ball re expected to be starters in 2025.
They also only spent one pick on offense during this year’s draft.
That means that if the offense is going to improve next season, those improvements are going to need to come from inside the organization.

One obvious candidate to elevate the offense is Marvin Harrison Jr., who is heading into his second NFL season.
During an appearance on Mad Dog Sports Radio, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that he is expecting Harrison Jr. to “make a huge jump” in year two.
When the staff is in place, the jump from Year 1 to Year 2, I think that’s where guys make a huge jump. This guy played unbelievable ball for us, but if you talk to him, he’d be the first to tell you, like, ‘I need to get better at these couple things,’ and, man, he has went to work on them. He has went to work on them. He looks awesome out there right now. I’m really excited to see where his game goes.
MHJ didn’t live up to the hype as a rookie, but still put together a solid first year.
He made 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns during his first NFL season.
Now he has put on some muscle ahead of year two which should help him with the physicality of the league.
However, his improvements in 2025 will likely depend even more on the coaching staff.
In his rookie season, he was often used as a big play threat for the Cardinals. That’s not really where he’s at his best.
The Cardinals need to give him more opportunities to use his impressive route running to beat corners over the middle of the field and on routes that take less time to develop.
We often see wide receivers break out in their second seasons in the NFL and with Harrison Jr.’s talent, we could be looking at something huge for his breakout season.
The Cardinals need to make sure they use him the right way to make that happen.
