The Kentucky Wildcats have scored a Father’s Day Yahtzee!

It came in the form of 4-star prospect Ja’kayden Ferguson, who announced his commitment to the Cats on Twitter.

Ferguson just wrapped up an official visit to Lexington this weekend. His lead recruiter was new wide receivers coach Daikiel Shorts.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Ferguson plays for Fort Bend Marshall in Texas. Rivals has him graded as a 4-star athlete ranked 38th in the state of Texas for the 2025 class. He’s expected to play wide receiver at the collegiate level.

Among his other scholarship offers are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Tennessee Volunteers, Ole Miss Rebels, Oregon Ducks, Oklahoma Sooners, and LSU Tigers, among others.

Ferguson becomes the eighth pledge in Kentucky’s class of 2025, joining wideout Quintin Simmons Jr., safety Martels Carter Jr., running back Marquise Davis, offensive tackle Darrin Strey, quarterback Stone Saunders, offensive tackle Tucker Kattus, and quarterback Brennen Ward.
