Wrexham rule out Jamie Vardy Bamford & Tom Cairney signings….
HUMPHREY KER has emphatically revealed Wrexham won’t be signing Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy, Leeds striker Patrick Bamford or Fulham captain Tom Cairney in the upcoming transfer window this summer.
The Reds finished runners-up in League One this season securing an historic third successive promotion.
Back in the Championship for the first time in 43 years, Reds’ boss Phil Parkinson is looking to strengthen his squad and has been linked with a host of players including experienced striker Vardy, who is leaving Leicester City where the former England international has spent the last 13 years.

Speaking on the The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X alongside Dominic Byrne, community director Ker was quick to dampen speculation.
Moyles: “Can I ask you some questions from our lovely listeners?”
Ker: “Please.”
Moyles: “Alright. Alan says, ‘Have Wrexham signed Jamie Vardy?’”

Ker: “No.”
Moyles: “Okay. Are you looking at Jamie Vardy?”
Ker: “No.”
Moyles: “Patrick Bamford?”
Ker: “No.”
Moyles: “Oh, okay.”
Ker: “Actually, I should stop doing this, because eventually you might say someone where I have to be like, ‘Yes.’
“No, I will say that obviously one of the things is that – much like Ryan Reynolds – the name Wrexham generates clicks, so we are starting now to get linked with absolutely everybody.
“I’m like, ‘Who?’ I see people, I saw our fans getting absolutely incandescent on Twitter about it. ‘What on Earth are they doing trying to sign this guy?!’ when none of us have heard of him before!”
Byrne: “And you’re going to get a whole summer of this, aren’t you?”
Ker: “Yes.”
Moyles: “Here’s another one for you. Daniel says, ‘Chris, what a phenomenal story the Wrexham one is, but can you please ask Humphrey, with peace and love, to stay away from the Fulham captain Tom Cairney please.’ And that’s from Daniel who is a Fulham fan.”
Ker: “Daniel, you got it.”
Moyles: “Oh, okay! Jees, they’re not signing anybody!”
Ker: “Well, I mean, he’s a brilliant player, Tom Cairney, and I’m sure we’d be very grateful to have him.
“But he is the very specific instance where our fans were like, ‘I’m not sure about this, I don’t know what they’re doing. What does this mean about our transfer thing?’ Like, we haven’t had that conversation yet.”
