Five eagles have left the nest.
Following the 2023 season, the West Coast Eagles have confirmed five roster changes.
The West Coast Eagles informed five players today that they will not be awarded contract extensions beyond 2024.
Midfielders Xavier O’Neill, Greg Clark, and Connor West, attacker Isiah Winder, and utility player Samo Petrevski-Seton have all been informed that their contracts with the club have expired.
Clark played 21 games in the last two seasons after being acquired with the club’s final draft pick (#62) in 2021. O’Neill, drafted with pick 28 in 2018, played 39 games.
West, the son of former player Robbie, was drafted in the mid-season rookie draft in 2021 and appeared in 28 games.
Petrevski-Seton joined the Eagles in a trade from Carlton towards the end of 2021 and played 27 games, while Winder, the 57th pick in the 2020 draft, appeared in seven games.
“On behalf of the club, I would like to thank each of the players for their contributions during their varying times at the club,” stated Gavin Bell, General Manager Football.
“They have each left an impression on the club and we wish them every success in their future endeavours.”
