Leeds: £65k-a-week star has’more chance of departing’ than Gnonto at Elland Road

This summer, Leeds United will be desperate to keep hold of some of their important players.

Leeds United have been trying to maintain hold of their key players this summer, and Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton spoke to GIVEMESPORT about Luis Sinisterra and Wilfried Gnonto.

Leeds fans will be hoping for a calm end to the transfer window after a hectic summer in terms of outgoings at Elland Road.

Leeds United transfer updates –

Daniel Farke will be desperate to avoid any late outgoings before the window slams shut later tonight, after losing Tyler Adams, Jack Harrison, Robin Koch, Marc Roca, and Rodrigo, among others. Gnonto and Summerville are two significant assets that Leeds will like to maintain beyond the deadline, although neither player is without attention. Summerville is a target for Premier League clubs Everton and Crystal Palace, according to Daily Express columnist Ryan Taylor. According to the BBC, Leeds are determined to fight off interest from the Toffees for Italian forward Gnonto, who is considering a late switch due to Alex Iwobi’s impending departure to Fulham.

Now, journalist Thornton has updated us on whether Sinisterra or Gnonto will leave before the window closes this evening.

What does Thornton have to say about Leeds, Sinisterra, and Gnonto?

Thornton believes that if a club makes an offer that meets Sinisterra’s asking price, Sinisterra is more likely to leave than Gnonto in the following few hours. According to the writer, Leeds has been rather silent about his condition in compared to Gnonto, but they will have to make a decision if a bid arises.

“As for Sinisterra, that’s a slightly different situation,” he told GIVEMESPORT. Leeds haven’t been as outspoken about his future as they should have been. It’s been a different story. I believe his destiny will be determined by whether or not someone comes in and pays the asking price. I believe that if someone came in and met the price that Leeds was looking for, they would have to make a decision. I don’t think they’d want to force him out. If the proper deal comes in, I believe he is more likely to go before the conclusion of the window than Gnonto.”
