Lamine Yamal has recently named the five best players under 23 years old in La Liga. The young Barcelona star, known for his talent and sharp eye for the game, has highlighted five players who he believes are among the brightest young talents in Spanish football today.

First on his list was Firmin Lopez, his Barcelona teammate. Fermin has shown real promise, especially last season under Xavi with his ability to control the midfield.

His composure on the ball and finishing skills have impressed many. As a result, he is quickly becoming a key figure in the squad, and Lamine clearly sees his potential to become one of La Liga’s top stars.

Next, Lamine picked Pablo Barrios, the talented attacking midfielder from Atletico Madrid. Barrios has already shown flashes of brilliance under Diego Simeone, fitting into Atletico’s tough and disciplined style of play.

Alejandro Balde, another Barcelona name, also makes the cut. Balde’s performances at left-back have been a revelation, showing that he’s not just a player for the future but for the present as well.

Then there’s Marc Casado, another emerging talent from La Masia. Casado has impressed in his early appearances, earning the praise of Hansi Flick.

At present, the youngster has been impressing while playing as a pivot and his performances have given Flick a sweet headache as first-team regulars return from respective injuries.

Finally, Lamine mentions Pablo Torre, a highly-rated player who has also been making waves at Barcelona.

Torre’s creativity and technical ability have set him apart from many of his peers. He has the vision to unlock defences and create chances, which makes him one to watch in the coming seasons.

Despite that, though, there are rumours that he might be made available on the market as there is no place for him in the midfield considering the competition.

In a major development, Barcelona have entered the race to sign Liverpool’s star right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, joining European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in pursuit of the England international, talkSPORT reports.

With his current deal set to expire at the end of this season and negotiations for an extension still ongoing, Alexander-Arnold will be free to discuss terms with foreign clubs come January for a potential free transfer next summer.

The 26-year-old England defender’s contract situation at Liverpool has sparked intense interest from these top clubs.

Barcelona enter race

Indeed, Alexander-Arnold’s consistent performances and potential availability on a free transfer in the summer have caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs, including Barcelona.

Real Madrid’s interest in the defender was well-documented during the summer transfer window, but the addition of Barcelona and Bayern Munich to the mix adds a new dimension to the transfer saga.
