No. 27 Charlie Condon, 3B/OF, Rockies
Injury: Broken left wrist
Expected return: Mid-to-late May
Charlie Condon, the third overall pick in the 2024 Draft and Colorado’s No. 2 prospect, sustained a non-displaced fracture of his left wrist while diving to make a catch in the outfield on March 11. More precisely, it’s a radial styloid process fracture. Player development director Chris Forbes said Condon would visit with noted Scottsdale, Arizona hand specialist Dr. Donald Sheridan on Monday, with hopes that Condon will be cleared to begin strengthening exercises. No. 2 Roman Anthony, OF, Red Sox
Injury: Fouled ball off foot
Expected return: Day-to-day
Anthony fouled a ball off his right foot in the first inning of Triple-A Worcester’s April 26 game and was removed in the sixth. He sat out of an April 27 doubleheader, and WooSox manager Chad Tracy said that he’s day-to-day. The top-ranked prospect in the Minors has been raking, posting a .313/.451/.588 slash line with five homers in 23 Triple-A games. (Last updated: April 28)
No. 57 Luke Keaschall, 2B, Twins
Injury: Nondisplaced fracture of his right forearm
Expected return: TBD
Keaschall does not need surgery on his fractured right ulna bone, but it’s probably going to be a couple of months before the dynamic rookie is playing in games again, according to the Twins. The 2023 second-round pick will have weekly X-rays to make sure his nondisplaced fracture stays nondisplaced and will be re-evaluated in late May. (Last updated: April 28)
No. 92 Jonny Farmelo, OF, Mariners
Injury: Torn right ACL
Expected return: April 29
The 29th overall pick in the 2023 Draft will make his season debut at High-A Everett on Tuesday, April 29. Farmelo, who sports standout speed and athleticism, was in the midst of a breakout season when he tore his right ACL last June, just 46 games into the season. (Last updated: April 28)
No. 51 Braden Montgomery, OF, White Sox
Promoted to High-A Winston-Salem
Montgomery, acquired by Chicago in the Garrett Crochet trade during the offseason, was bumped up to the South Atlantic League after 18 Single-A games, according to MLB.com’s Scott Merkin. The 2024 first-rounder compiled a slash line of .304/.393/.493 with three homers, four doubles and 19 RBIs at Kannapolis to begin his professional career. The Texas A&M product missed the latter half of 2024 recovering from a broken right ankle. (Last updated: April 27)
No. 3 Walker Jenkins, OF, Twins
Injury: Left ankle stiffness

Jenkins, who sprained his left ankle during Spring Training, opened the season on the Double-A Wichita roster. He went 1-for-8 in two games for the Wind Surge before going on the injured list with “renewed stiffness” in his left ankle. It marked the second consecutive year the fifth overall pick in the 2023 Draft went on the IL the first week of the season. After missing much of the first half of last year due to a strained left hamstring sustained on Opening Day, the Twins expect him to be back much sooner this year. (Last updated: April 9)
No. 26 Kevin McGonigle, SS/2B, Tigers
Injury: Ankle

After playing all nine innings on Opening Day for High-A West Michigan, McGonigle will miss time on the IL with an ankle injury. The 2023 Draft’s No. 37 overall pick doubled twice and collected four RBIs in his season debut after slashing .309/.401/.452 across two levels in his first professional season in 2024.
