After years of speculation, the Hawks eventually agreed to deal Collins to the Jazz in exchange for Rudy Gay and a second-round pick. A transaction that was eventually termed a salary dump, it provides Utah with the opportunity to strike gold with a previous 20 and 10 player.
According to the 2023-24 NBA schedule, the Jazz will play the Hawks in State Farm Arena on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024.
The former Hawk is coming off a season in which he averaged 13.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and one block per game. Collins will have an enticing supporting cast and coaching staff to potentially recapture some of the heights he attained earlier in his career as he looks to rebound during his first season in Salt Lake City.
