The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Chris Livingston to a historic contract.

Chris Livingston, the final choice in the 2023 NBA Draft, has joined the Milwaukee Bucks. The team issued a press statement announcing Livingston’s signing. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, who cited sources, the Bucks have signed Livingston to a four-year, $7.7 million rookie contract with the first two years guaranteed.
Rook cashing in Livingston is the Bucks’ 58th choice in this year’s draft, and according to Charania, the signing of Livingston is historic because the four-year agreement includes the highest total pay for the final pick in any NBA Draft.
With Livingston firmly on board, the Bucks have secured their two draft picks, having previously signed Andrew Jackson Jr., the 36th overall pick.
Livingston and Jackson Jr. are presently playing in the 2023 Summer League, where the Bucks are 2-0. The big forward is a highly rated rookie, with some calling him the best Akron, Ohio player since LeBron James.
On both ends of the floor, it is effective.
Livingston stated in a recent media interview that he can bring a lot to the table. Livingston averaged 6.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game as a freshman at Kentucky last season.
The 6-foot-6, 200-pound forward was named to the 2022-23 All-SEC Fresh Team after appearing in 34 games, including 26 starts, as a freshman. Livingston had a stellar high school career, winning Virginia Player of the Year in 2022 and Ohio Player of the Year in 2021.
