Spurs have identified two candidates to replace Eric Dier.

Tottenham Hotspur have selected Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo and Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba as potential replacements for Eric Dier in January, according to Football Insider.

Ange Postecoglou has named youthful Ashley Phillips on the bench ahead of England international Eric Dier on multiple occasions this season, including the match against Liverpool on Saturday.

Spurs are set to try to unload the 29-year-old, who is under contract with the club until next summer, according to Football Insider.

Spurs want Tapsoba or Adarabioyo to take Dier’s place.

According to reports, the Lilywhites have already identified Adarabioyo and Taposba as potential replacements, having looked into agreements for both players during the recent transfer window.

According to the article, Postecoglou is looking to bolster his options in central defense, and the Fulham star might be in the market since his contract at Crave Cottage expires in January.

According to the publication, Tottenham officials consider Tapsoba to be a “premium option” because he is expected to command a higher fee after signing a new contract with Leverkusen.

Spurs Online Opinion

Tapsoba recently signed an extension, and Xabi Alonso’s men have had a fantastic start to the season.

That means Leverkusen are unlikely to sell the centre-back in January unless they receive a ridiculous offer. Spurs will go after Adarabioyo or Lloyd Kelly, possibly both, if they can get rid of Dier.
