West Ham United is competing for Brazilian wonder Lorran with Manchester City, Real Madrid, and others.
According to 90min, West Ham have joined Manchester City and Chelsea in the hunt to sign Lorran, a 17-year-old Brazilian marvel. Manchester United and Brighton have also held conversations with his management.
On September 29, the online football news outlet revealed that the Brazilian, who is represented by Jay-Z’s ROC Nation Sports agency, has been chased by Manchester United for several months.
West Ham has expressed interest in the player, as have Chelsea, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, but has yet to initiate negotiations. He would not be allowed to relocate to Europe until next July, but this has not deterred potential buyers.
West Ham are the outliers among the clubs interested.
With interest from renowned clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester United, as well as titans Manchester City and Chelsea, the Hammers stand out from the throng as a less tempting offer.
This does, however, have advantages. A better chance of receiving first-team experience at a younger age could be appealing, while Brazil’s Lucas Paqueta has shined at the London Stadium and could serve as encouragement for the 17-year-old.
Lorran has yet to make his professional debut for Flamengo and is thus an unknown talent, but the level of interest in his signature demonstrates how highly regarded he is among Europe’s top clubs.
Real Madrid, in particular, has a track record of bringing in young Brazilian talent, with the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo thriving in the bright lights of the Bernabeu, with Endrick expected to join when he reaches 18, and they will aim to add Lorran to that list.
In unrelated West Ham news, a journalist claims that one of the club’s stars should be concerned about his future.
