Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca move to Real Betis hinges on one condition
Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca move to Real Betis hinges on one condition as he’s set to secure his loan exit this summer.
According to AS [10 July], all that the Spaniard is waiting on is for a simple call that will allow him to join the La Liga outfit on loan.
There’s also understood to be a £10.2million option to buy with him leaving Leeds due to their relegation to the Championship.
Not needed
Roca moved to Leeds last summer and it wasn’t a move that panned out too well for the Spaniard or the Whites
He struggled to establish himself as a nailed on starter and due to the lack of options and injuries, he was given more game time than he ideally should’ve.
Had Tyler Adams and Adam Forshaw been fit all season, Roca certainly wouldn’t have played as much.
Hopefully, the buy option is exercised as Leeds need the money and even if they get promoted, he’s shown he’s not Premier League calibre.
It remains to be seen if that happens, but there’s a good chance that the game in Spain suits him and he can thrive in a more technical and slower league.
Leeds also need options themselves and it remains to be seen who they end up signing.
