Newcastle and West Ham have been linked with a January transfer for the 21-year-old Frenchman.

Newcastle United have been linked with a transfer for PSG striker Hugo Ekitike yet again.

During the summer transfer window, the 21-year-old was also linked with a move to the Premier League.

The brilliant teenage attacker joined PSG on loan with the option to buy in 2022, which the French club exercised earlier this summer. However, it appears that the French club was looking to cash in on him right away, while Eintracht Frankfurt was interested in signing him.

The 21-year-old was not interested in moving to Germany, and PSG is dissatisfied with the scenario. Ekitike is unlikely to see regular playing time at PSG and should consider leaving when the transfer window opens in January.

Newcastle aren’t the only Premier League club keeping an eye on him. According to rumors (via HITC), West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also interested in the player.

At this juncture of his career, the 21-year-old needs to play consistently, and if PSG cannot give him with that platform, an exit in January would be perfect for all parties.

PSG will be seeking to recoup the €35 million they paid for the 21-year-old, and whether Premier League clubs are willing to pay a premium for him remains to be seen.

Newcastle could surely use with extra attacking depth, and Ekitike would be a great understudy for Alexander Isak.

The Frenchman has the potential to be a good striker in the coming seasons, and a move to the Premier League might help him develop and improve as a player.
