Leicester City star Jamie Vardy sends message over future club – Leeds United could complete move soon..

Leeds United scored 95 goals on their way to winning the Championship. One of their highest tallies in years, the attack was well coached by Daniel Farke.

It is impressive how Leeds managed to score more goals than they did last season despite losing some of their best players. This shows how great Farke has been in his role since he took over. Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter combined for 49 goals, with the whole team netting 81 in total. This season, the Whites scored 95 goals after selling the duo.

Despite all this, there are valid questions about the attack heading into the Premier League. Joel Piroe will be the club’s first choice striker next season, but there are concerns about his adaptation to the level.

His supporting cast does not inspire a lot of confidence either. Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph were the options when Piroe was out of the team. But the duo scored just three goals combined. It makes total sense why the club would actively be in the market for a very good attacking option.

Leeds have been linked with a move for Jamie Vardy over the last few weeks. The Leicester City man will be a free agent this summer, and is open to moving clubs. In his recent interview, he has made a bold statement that he can still perform in the Premier League at 38 years old, as he seeks a move to a new club:

“Yeah, 100%. But again, football’s a crazy world. So you never know what’s going to happen. I’m always excited for what comes next. I’ve always said I’ll keep going until my legs literally tell me, no, you need to stop, we’re done. And my legs are fine.”

Will Leeds sign Jamie Vardy?
The club have been in contact but it seems like nothing has been agreed. With reports that Vardy could take a pay cut to remain in the Premier League, Leeds United need to act fast. His age will be in question, but he did score eight goals this season.
