The statement victory by the San Francisco 49ers alters the NFC going forward.
The San Francisco 49ers were on a three-game losing streak when they took on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. The team led by Kyle Shanahan needed to play well right out of its bye to prevent this losing run from getting any worse.
Prior to the Jacksonville game at Duval, Shanahan was aware of this and somewhat focused on the previously mentioned three-game losing streak.

However, the 49ers’ victory over the Jaguars on Sunday serves as a springboard for them to establish themselves in the struggle for supremacy following their loss to Philadelphia in the NFC Championship Game the previous season.
Next week, San Francisco hosts the Tampa Bay Bucs. After that, the team will play two games against the division rival Seattle Seahawks and the previously mentioned game against Philadelphia.
The 49ers must travel to Baltimore for a game on Christmas night against the Ravens, following a game against the Arizona Cardinals, who are currently in last place.

When Jacksonville was trying to close the deficit in the third quarter, Ambry Thomas came up with a play that changed the course of the game on defense.
Starting the season with a bang, San Francisco won its first five games, including a stunning 42-10 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. This was the 49ers’ last win before Sunday’s game against Jacksonville; they were a mistake waiting to happen in a Week 6 loss to the Cleveland Browns before Purdy’s late-game gaffes cost San Francisco games against the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals.
