Wide Receiver Leaves FSU Football Before the Window Closes to Use the Transfer Portal
Just before the NCAA Transfer Portal window closes, a young wide receiver leaves the Seminoles.
Players from Florida State have a few hours left before the NCAA Transfer Portal closes. For most of the nation, the 30-day window ended on January 2, but because the Seminoles played in the Orange Bowl so late in December, players still had until 11:59 p.m. on January 4 to announce their plans to move on.
After spending a season in Departure redshirt freshman wide receiver Goldie Lawrence made his way through the portal on Thursday night. In the home opener versus Southern Miss, he made his lone appearance, earning five snaps but recording no stats. Lawrence contributed to the scout team for the majority of the season.

In addition to returning a number of talented players to the field, including redshirt seniors Kentron Poitier, Darion Williamson, and Ja’Khi Douglas, as well as sophomores Hykeem Williams, Destyn Hill, and Vandrevius Jacobs, the Seminoles are pursuing multiple wide receiver transfers through the portal.
Since the end of the regular season and ACC Championship, the Seminoles have seen the following players enter the portal: guard Tate Rodemaker, quarterback AJ Duffy (San Diego State), Rodney Hill, running back CJ Campbell (FAU), tight end Markeston Douglas (Arizona State), tight end Preston Daniel, offensive lineman Bless Harris (TCU), offensive lineman Thomas Schrader, offensive lineman Daughtry Richardson (FAU), offensive lineman Qae’shon Sapp, defensive end Gilber Edmond, defensive tackle Malcolm Ray, defensive tackle Ayobami Tifase (Georgia Tech), linebacker DJ Lundy (Colorado), linebacker Dylan Brown-Turner, and kicker Tyler Keltner.
