In the Big Ten tournament, Indiana’s 2023–24 college basketball season came to an end after a crushing loss to Nebraska.

The No. 2 scorer for the Hoosiers, according to Michael Niziloek of the Bloomington Herald-Times, stated that he needs to do some “thinking” about his future following the defeat to Nebraska. Reneau is back, I will say, but it is definitely a situation to keep an eye on.
Star freshman Mackenzie Mgbako might choose to enter the NBA draft, but he would gain more experience by staying another year in college.
Veteran guards Anthony Leal and Trey Galloway, a two-year starter, recently declared they would be back for a fifth season. As a freshman, Gabe Cupps started 22 games, and as rising juniors, CJ Gunn and Kaleb Banks should see increased playing time the following season.

Center Kel’el Ware is expected to declare for the NBA draft in 2024. In his most recent mock draft, Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report pegged Ware as the eleventh overall choice.
Given that Ware averaged team-high marks of 15.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks, it will be challenging to replace his output.
Xavier Johnson and Anthony Walker, who have both used up their eligibility, are two surefire departures. Despite missing the previous two seasons due to injury, Johnson was a capable passer in the backcourt, and Walker, who moved from Miami, added depth to the frontcourt this year.
I won’t name names here, but it’s highly likely that the Hoosiers will have more than one player use the transfer portal.
