The 24-year-old has been released and will begin playing for a new club right now.
South Sydney has released forward Daniel Suluka-Fifita from the remainder of his contract, effective immediately.
The Rabbitohs announced the decision on Monday afternoon, with Suluka-Fifita joining the Canterbury Bulldogs on a two-year contract to the end of the 2025 season.
“Daniel is a tremendous young talent who has shown great potential coming through the pathways at Roosters and playing NRL at Souths,” Phil Gould said in a news release.
“We are excited to have him at the Club and he will add great depth to our forwards.”
Suluka-Fifita signed a contract with South Sydney until the end of the 2025 season after leaving the Sydney Roosters midway through 2022.
Prior to his cross-town move, the 24-year-old played seven games for the Roosters and finished the season with five more NRL games.
Last year, in his first full season with the Rabbitohs, Suluka-Fifita appeared in ten Cardinal and Myrtle games.
The Rabbitohs prop is ready to join his third NRL side, with the Rabbitohs announcing an urgent move for the 192cm, 112kg front.
“Daniel has been hampered by injury over the past two years, but he has always put his best foot forward with the opportunities he has been given to wear the Rabbitohs jersey,” South Sydney football manager Mark Ellison said in a statement.
“We wish Daniel and his family the best of luck for the future.”
The Bulldogs revealed that the forward will join the squad in Belmore on Tuesday, but he is still rehabbing from an ACL injury and will not return to the field until May.
