Initial Thanksgiving Day injury report for the Detroit Lions includes four players

After defeating the Chicago Bears 26-14 in the fourth quarter, the Detroit Lions have only been back for 24 hours, but they have already made their first injury report for their Thanksgiving Day game against the Green Bay Packers public. As you will soon see, going into Week 12, the Lions still have a major concern.

Jonah Jackson is the only player listed as NO PRACTICE on Monday in the Lions’ initial Week 12 injury report, which was released just moments ago. You can see the report below.

Note: On Monday, the Lions held a walkthrough. Estimates are used to determine the practice participation designations for that day.

The Lions have improved to 8-2 on the season after their incredible comeback victory over the Bears on Sunday at Ford Field. With that record, they not only maintain complete dominance over the NFC North, but they are also presently ranked as the NFC’s second seed. For their Thanksgiving Day game against the Packers, the Lions are hoping to have starting left guard Jonah Jackson back.

The goal is to make sure the Detroit Lions are playing at their best as they prepare for their Thanksgiving Day game against the Green Bay Packers. Given how important Jonah Jackson is to the Lions’ offensive line as left guard, his injury status is a significant consideration. There are great expectations for the team’s next games because of their outstanding performance thus far this season. Maintaining their strong position and pursuing success this season will depend heavily on Jackson and other important players being healthy and prepared.

Put another way, the Lions are experiencing something truly unique—something they haven’t experienced since the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Beatles’ debut of “Love Me Do,” and the first James Bond movie, “Dr No.”

Following the breathtaking heights of overcoming four turnovers and coming back from a 12-point deficit, the Lions now have a short week to prepare for the Packers on Thanksgiving. With 29 seconds remaining, a 1-yard touchdown run by David Montgomery and defensive safety guaranteed victory over the Bears (3-8).

The Packers (4-6) have had difficulty establishing themselves in the first campaign without Aaron Rodgers. After defeating the Packers 23–20, Green Bay lost running back Aaron Jones to a knee injury.

“For roughly three and a half quarters, it wasn’t my best ball,” said Goff (23-for-35, 236 yards). We are a hardy group. We’re hardy. We don’t give up.”

Even though Goff threw touchdown passes to Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams and had three interceptions in the game—his most in a game since 2019 with the Rams—he recovered in the end when it mattered most.

“He never got frazzled, and really, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen him get frazzled,” Campbell stated. “He just wants to punch himself in the face sometimes.”

The Lions, who currently lead the NFC North by three games over the Vikings (6-5) in second place, now have a chance to win four straight games and get closer to winning the division for the first time since 1993. When Bill Clinton was president, it was known as the NFC Central Division, and, well, you get the idea.
