Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze has been ruled out for six weeks due to an injury.
Crystal Palace are concerned that Eberechi Eze’s hamstring injury will keep him out for six weeks.
The midfielder has also been ruled out of England’s upcoming matches against Australia and Italy.
Eze was substituted after 88 minutes for Palace in their 1-0 triumph over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The 25-year-old has started the season well, but his injury is a big setback for Palace, who are also without Michael Olise, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Olise and new acquisition Matheus Franca are not scheduled to return until late October, while Dean Henderson, Jefferson Lerma, and Naouirou Ahamada are also sidelined with injuries.
Eze made his England debut in June against Malta and earned his second cap in last month’s friendly win against Scotland at Hampden Park.
Palace, who are ninth in the Premier League after a solid start to the season under Roy Hodgson, host Nottingham Forest on Saturday at Selhurst Park.
