AFL Draft: A local prospect “fits the bill,” and Fremantle looks to hone their forward line
Compared to their run to the finals in 2022, Fremantle’s 2023 season was a complete bust, with poor performance across the board. Even though at the end of the previous year everything appeared to be going well for Justin Longmuir’s team, it was not to be.
The Dockers are a young team with a wealth of talent; a few things need to be worked out before the Western Australian team can hopefully start to play well again.
Fremantle will have picks 34, 46, 60, and 63 going into the draft. Additionally, the team has two openings in the Rookie Draft, which is scheduled for this Wednesday.
With subpar play all around, Fremantle’s 2023 season was an absolute disaster in comparison to their run to the finals in 2022. It was not to be, even though at the end of the previous season Justin Longmuir’s team seemed to have everything clicking.
The Dockers are a talented young team, but before the Western Australian squad can hopefully resume playing well, a few issues need to be resolved.
Prior to the draft, Fremantle will possess picks 34, 46, 60, and 63. In addition, the team will have two selections in this Wednesday’s Rookie Draft.
