When John Calipari moved to Arkansas with his skills, the Kentucky Wildcats lost the majority of their 2024 recruiting class.

Although Kentucky and Calipari both needed a new beginning, it seemed unprecedented how many players and recruits were leaving for other schools.

Mark Pope will need to assemble his team, and it’s likely that he won’t do so without a number of Calipari’s former commits.

Nevertheless, those players will need to play elsewhere come the upcoming season, as many elite players are on loan.

First up, On3’s Joe Tipton reports that 5-star forward Karter Knox visited Arkansas on Monday and has now committed to the Hogs.

His brother, Kevin Knox, was a standout player at Kentucky but had trouble in the NBA. Karter renounced his commitment to Calipari’s Wildcats after he left.

A major factor in Kevin’s decision to attend Kentucky was his relationship with Kenny Payne, who as the head coach of the Cardinals kept Louisville in the running. It was inevitable that Karter would be a Razorback, especially now that Payne is an assistant at Arkansas.

oogie Fland, another elite recruit and one of the best guards in the Class of 2024, is something Calipari also wants. According to Adam Zagoria, Fland still appears unsure of himself and appears to be debating his options inside.
