Yikes! Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs have been penalized for unsportsmanlike behavior.
Jamal Adams drew a lot of attention for his altercation with a New York-based NFL reporter, and the league has now fined both Adams and Quandre Diggs.
The Seattle Seahawks had an opportunity to demonstrate on the national stage that they could compete with the best NFC teams in their Week 13 meeting against the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, the Hawks fell just short, and the rest of the NFC outcomes have harmed Seattle’s playoff chances heading into Week 14.
Now, on the eve of Seattle’s game versus the San Francisco 49ers, which can only be defined as a must-win game, the NFL has left a pair of Seahawks’ wallets hurting as a result of its actions against the Cowboys.
Both Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs were fined $10,927 by the NFL for their unsportsmanlike behavior against the Cowboys. Dallas tight end Jake Ferguson, who caught the touchdown pass that sparked the altercation between Adams and SNY NFL reporter Connor Hughes, was also penalized by the league.
If you’re wondering why Ferguson was punished less than Adams and Diggs, the simple answer is that fine levels are formulaic and decided by the number of times the player has been fined for the same offense in the past.
