The Auburn basketball team has added three new players this offseason: Tahaad Pettiford, a freshman, and Jakhi Howard, a transfer from Furman. More additions to the squad are probably on the way.

Pegues, who has three years of experience, was listed on the transfer portal as the thirteenth point guard. He will wear number one and is anticipated to cover some of the voids left by Tre Donaldson and Aden Holloway.

The #2 point guard in the class of 2024, 5-star guard Tahaad Pettiford, committed to the Tigers in November of last year and is a much-anticipated addition to Bruce Pearl’s team. He is going to wear #0, just like KD Johnson.

Jakhi Howard, a 4-star forward rated by 247 Sports’ Eric Bossi as “one of the most athletically explosive players in the class of 2024,” will wear the number three.
Denver Jones, the shooting guard who is back, will wear number two instead of number twelve, which was Jaylin Williams’ previous number.

An additional wide receiver from Auburn football has formally transferred to a different school. Ja’Varrius Johnson revealed his commitment to UCF on Twitter, via Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.
