Atlanta Hawks Announce First Injury Report Before Tomorrow’s Matchup with the Raptors

Atlanta’s match against Toronto tomorrow will try to end their current four-game losing streak.
In addition to losing seven of their previous ten games coming up before their next two games against the Raptors, the Hawks are currently on a four-game losing streak. This week, Atlanta will play two games in Toronto. The teams playing are the Eastern Conference’s 10th-place team and the 11th-place team. Although neither the Raptors nor the Hawks had intended to go through the play-in round this season, that is the route that both groups are currently taking.

Against the Nuggets last night, Atlanta was without two starters, and they may be without both of them against the Raptors tomorrow. De’Andre Hunter is still on Atlanta’s initial injury report for tomorrow’s match, with right knee soreness listed as questionable. Jalen Johnson and rookies Kobe Bufkin and Mouhamed Gueye are still sidelined.

Hunter was benched in favor of Garrison Matthews by Hawks head coach Quin Snyder last night, and things did not go as planned. Bogdan Bogdanovic played a significant number of minutes last night and may have had his best game to date, while Matthews did not play well. In the Nuggets game, Bogdanovic scored forty points and drained ten three-pointers.

Will Snyder return to Matthews Garrison tomorrow?

There are two more fascinating choices. Bey could be moved to the three by Onyeka Okongwu, who could begin at the four. Hunter could also start in place of Bogdan Bogdanovic, but I’m assuming Snyder wants Bogdanovic to be able to come off the bench.

Would AJ Griffin be able to play more minutes if Hunter is sidelined? We’ll see, but Snyder seems hesitant to play him. Griffin did play poorly in both of his stints against the Nuggets last night, particularly on defense.

As the game approaches tomorrow, keep an eye out for the injury report.
