Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs are out versus the Panthers, according to reports.

Amon-Ra St. Brown will miss Week 5.

The Detroit Lions will be missing Amon-Ra St. Brown for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers due to an abdomen ailment.

According to ESPN, both St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs, who were listed as questionable, are unlikely to participate in Week 5.

It will be difficult to replace the output of a player who has become one of the NFL’s most dependable wide outs.

“Look, it’s not going to be simple. “Not having a guy like Saint makes it difficult because he’s a very productive, impactful player for us,” Dan Campbell said. “Most importantly, he’s very dependable, he’s very dependable.” You don’t have to worry about him being where he’s supposed to be or doing his job, which is to run and pass.”

Detroit’s third-year head coach took the time to appreciate St. Brown’s willingness to block and do everything it takes to help the offense make plays.

“There are so many things he does behind the scenes that people don’t even notice, whether it’s opening up a teammate in the pass game or blocking for the running backs.” He’s been quite helpful to us.

But the good news is that, once again, guy, we’re working by committee here, and we’re going to use all the pieces we have, all the resources if he can’t go, because we’ve got enough.”

The Lions will most likely rely on running back David Montgomery and tight end Sam LaPorta this week, as the Panthers’ defense has struggled to stop the run.

“We have (David Montgomery) D-Mo, (Jahmyr) Gibbs, (Sam) LaPorta, (Josh Reynolds) J-Rey, and (Marvin Jones Jr.) Marv.” So there’s much here,” Campbell said. “You reclaim (Jameson Williams) Jamo.” So, see, we’ll pass the ball around, and we’ll have something for everyone; all they have to do is show up when their number is called. And, yeah, our players have to show up this week. You get the ball in your hands, you have to do something, you have to secure the football.”
