Shock Danny Ings claims emerge just six months into West Ham career
West Ham United reportedly could sell Danny Ings after just six months at the London Stadium.
According to a report from The Times, Danny Ings could leave West Ham if a suitable offer comes in for him in the summer transfer window.
It was actually reported last month that the 30-year-old forward could leave the London Stadium this summer.
Ings definitely struggled to impress after Hammers boss David Moyes signed him from Aston Villa for around £12 million in January (Evening Standard).
In fairness to the 30-year-old though, Moyes didn’t set up his team in a way that would get the best out of the striker.
And that might cost Ings his future at West Ham…
Shock Danny Ings claims emerge just six months into West Ham career
The Times reckon that Moyes isn’t happy with any of his strikers at the London Stadium, and the former Villa man could be sacrificed this summer if an offer is made for him.
Ings just looked well off the pace last season, and didn’t really feature regularly at all during the final few months of the campaign.
The 30-year-old was slow and cumbersome in the way that he moved around, but who knows? Maybe he wasn’t fit enough.
Danny Ings has actually looked a lot sharper during pre-season with West Ham, bagging a couple of goals along the way as well.
The experienced striker has always been an accomplished, natural finisher and if Moyes has visions of playing two up front this season, Ings will definitely flourish.
However, if the Scot plans to stick to the system that he used last term, I have no doubts in my mind that it would be better for everyone involved if Ings was moved on.
