Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Nuno Espirito Santo’s Reds eye potential recruits ahead of big summer window..
Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of Marseille winger Luis Henrique has taken a positive twist with reports that the player has had a change of heart amid a lowered asking price.
Both the Reds and Newcastle United have been linked with the 23-year-old but it had looked set in stone that the Brazilian would join Inter Milan instead. Not any more, according to reports picked up on by Sport Witness.
The Italian club have been key competitors in the chase with some claiming that terms between the player and the club have already been agreed.

However, the player’s move to Inter hasn’t been sealed and TuttoSport report that Forest and Newcastle have ‘knocked on the door’ to sign him, amid interest from Bayern Munich.
The Reds were first linked with the Marseille man in January and were then said to have revived their interest a few weeks later, after the winter deadline had passed. It appears they have now taken things a step further as the summer transfer window looms into view.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Forest are “in talks” with Henrique’s “entourage”.
Henrique’s preference is said to be to join Inter and that is why an agreement over personal terms has been reached. He would earn €2.2m per season in a deal that will expire in 2030 but, it is claimed, some hope is still there for the English Premier League sides.
The Nerazzurri continue to “struggle to reach an agreement with Marseille, even though the French club’s demand has come down to €30m (£25m),” reports Sportwitness.
The forward’s versatility makes him a particularly attractive proposition for clubs on the lookout for new additions. He can play on either flank as a winger, in the No.10 role or as a wing-back.
Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo favours players with the flexibility to play in a number of positions as he prefers to work with a small squad. Strengthening his attacking resources will be a priority for the Portuguese in the summer.
