The Friedkin Group want to land £30m ‘Rolls Royce’ for Everton after David Moyes approval..

Everton will be in need of signings to cover positions all across their squad in the summer.

David Moyes is set to see his squad depleted at the end of the term, with numerous contracts coming to an end.

Abdoulaye Doucoure has admitted he’s set to leave Everton as the club show little indication of handing him a new deal.

Although the mood on Merseyside is positive, things could quickly turn over April with a daunting run of games to come.

A few losses could well expose certainly areas of Everton’s squad, with a number of players currently out through injury.

Everton eyeing up move for Burnley’s Maxime Esteve
The Friedkins will financially back Everton manager Moyes in the summer transfer window following their quiet January.

And sources have now told Everton News that Burnley defender Maxime Esteve is a player of real interest on Merseyside.

Burnley are pushing for automatic promotion back to the Premier League, which would cause some issues over prising Esteve – who they rated at £30m in January – away from Turf Moor.

With a number of players potentially set to leave Burnley over the summer, the Clarets will be keen to keep ahold of Esteve who co-owner JJ Watt labelled a ‘Rolls Royce’ on Instagram.

The Toffees are set to see Michael Keane depart the club at the end of the season but Everton are keen to hand Jarrad Branthwaite a new contract.

Regardless, defensive additions will be needed.

David Moyes will approve Championship signings
There are major changes being made behind-the-scenes at Finch Farm, with the Friedkins changing the recruitment set-up.

Kevin Thelwell is set to leave Everton, and Angus Kinnear will be arriving on Merseyside alongside more new faces.

Summer targets are already beginning to mount up at Finch Farm.

Everton are showing an interest in Sunderland’s Chris Rigg, with the club open to delving into the second tier for summer signings.

Even in an early press conference, Moyes approved signing Championship players for Everton.

“The Championship is always a place we should be looking to see” Moyes said in January.

“With the position we’re in, we could do with a couple of seasoned players but if not, we need to get players in to help with the numbers etc.
