In the January transfer window, Tottenham is reportedly planning to sell the 28-year-old.
According to Football Insider, Pierre-Emile Hojbejrg’s tenure at Tottenham is anticipated to expire during the January transfer window.
On the day of the transfer deadline, Hojbjerg’s late moves to Atletico Madrid and Fulham fell through. The La Liga club apparently could not reach Spurs’ asking price (Fabrizio Romano), and the player was reportedly not all that interested in a move to Craven Cottage (Daily Mail).
The midfielder’s transfer to Turkey is still a possibility, since Turkish clubs have until September 15 to bolster their rosters. Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele were actually previously sold by Tottenham to Galatasaray this week.
Hojbjerg will continue to play for Tottenham for now.
Spurs, according to Football Insider, have no interest in considering offers for Hojbjerg from Turkey or Saudi Arabia.
According to the article, the North London club has ‘blocked’ the idea of the Danish player leaving for the time being, therefore it is likely that he will remain in N17.
The midfielder is allegedly most likely to move during the January transfer window.
Tottenham Web Opinion
It would be pointless to sell Hojbjerg because Tottenham can no longer sign a substitute. I don’t think the 28-year-old would be interested in moving to Saudi Arabia or Turkey, either.
He will be hopeful that Atletico renews their interest in him in January and is successful in reaching a deal with Spurs this time.
