Harry Kane has stated that he has no regrets about leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
Harry Kane maintains he would ‘never regret’ leaving Tottenham for Bayern Munich, while also praising Ange Postecoglou’s work.
One of the most cliched questions in football is whether a player regrets leaving a club. In the case of Harry Kane, these questions have persisted since he left Tottenham to join Bayern Munich. In contrast, the England captain had been asked by reporters for years when he would leave Spurs.
From the 30-year-old’s perspective, answering the same transfer-related inquiries must have become tiresome at this point. Nonetheless, Kane seemed to be delighted with his move to Bayern Munich, claiming that he will ‘never regret’ leaving Tottenham in the summer.
Bayern was not the only team interested in Kane; Manchester United and Real Madrid were also interested. The 30-year-old also made headlines as Daniel Levy stated Tottenham have a buy-back clause in his contract. However, as things stand, the England captain has no regrets about leaving Spurs and is only focusing about the Bavarians.
During the current international break, Kane spoke to the British media, and his views were published in the Evening Standard. The 30-year-old said he was proud of himself for making the decision, though he admitted it was strange watching Spurs without him early in the season.
Kane went on to say, “I was there for so long, and all my friends are still there, even the coaches and staff, so sometimes it’s a little bit strange.”But in football as in life, when you go on a new adventure, you become concentrated and your attention is drawn to that.”
“I’m trying to find a place to live, learn the language, and get to know my new teammates and staff at Bayern Munich.” Your focus is simply diverted. It may have seemed unusual at first to see them playing when I was not present. “I have to focus my entire attention on Bayern Munich and making us as successful as possible.”
“I’m here, I’m excited, and it will never be a decision I regret.” “I’m proud to have begun in this manner.”
Kane has had a fantastic start to life at Bayern Munich, netting nine goals in his first ten games. During the previous international break, the striker again explained the distinction between the two clubs. The England captain wants to return the club to European dominance.
Kane did speak about Tottenham after their stellar start to the campaign and life under Ange Postecoglou. The Australian manager has steered the north Londoners to the top of the Premier League table and level on points with local rivals Arsenal. Kane insisted Postecoglou is what Tottenham needed to take their next step.
He continued, “Spurs are doing pretty well. It’s great to see. “The manager is doing great for them with the way they’re playing, the fans are right behind the team, and it’s definitely what they needed after the last few years.”
Kane is back to his old training ground at Spurs as he prepares for England’s game against Australia. While it’s only a friendly, the 30-year-old will hope to feature and stay sharp ahead of some crucial games for Bayern after the current break.
