49ers After the fight, Fred Warner sends DK Metcalf a Stern message.

Something had gotten to Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf this season, and it showed on Sunday in San Francisco, when the 49ers’ star linebacker Fred Warner and the Seattle star got into a fight near the end of the 49ers’ Week 14 victory over Seattle, 28-16.

With 3:24 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Seahawks trailing by 12 points, the play was initiated. Drew Lock, the quarterback for the Seahawks, attempted a deep pass over the middle, but it had little chance of succeeding as it drifted harmlessly into a group of 49ers defenders. Instead, linebacker Fred Warner intercepted the pass, sealing Seattle’s afternoon defeat.

DK Metcalf was dissatisfied. As Fred Warner laterally returned the ball to 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw, he grabbed Warner by the waist. As Metcalf ran upfield, Warner gave him a chuck to the back of the head. In response, Metcalf went after Warner, grabbed his facemask, and shoved it. Following the play, Metcalf was ejected by the referees

Warner asserted his innocence. But he’s got some harsh words for Metcalf.

In his press conference following the game, he said, “I don’t know what happened, man.” I told him how good a tackler he is. Then, for unknown reasons, he found that offensive. After that, whatever had occurred did so. It’s regrettable. He needs to learn how to maintain his composure. However, I’m glad we released the “dub.”

Fred Warner Disapproved of Deommodore Lenoir’s Reaction for the 49ers
One thing about the DK Metcalf altercation that did irritate Fred Warner was that 49ers teammate Deommodore Lenoir intervened to defend Warner following the initial altercation. But whereas Warner took all the abuse that DK Metcalf could muster with composure, Lenior erred by taking a swing.

Then, Lenoir was also removed from the game along with Metcalf.

Warner exclaimed, “Man, I know D-Mo is made of; he ain’t got to show me nothing out there.” You know what I mean when I say that I don’t want him to hurt himself? Hence, we are aware of his character, whether it be harming the team or himself. Nothing to prove, really. However, I always value men standing up for one another in public. I’m not at all surprised by that.

Fred Warner was generally not entirely happy with the 49ers defense’s performance, even with the team winning handily—San Francisco outgained the Seahawks in total yardage by a score of 527–324. Warner stated that the offense should receive most of the credit for the victory even though the defense registered four sacks and two interceptions.

With three different 49ers scoring touchdowns—Deebo Samuel twice, Jordan Mason, and George Kittle—Breaklow Purdy finished with 368 passing yards. DK Metcalf caught two balls during the day, averaging 26.0 yards per catch. The defense, battered by injuries, played a strong game against him.

Warner remarked, “I have talked about how explosive our offense is a lot.” “It won’t be long until they execute a huge downfield play. A tremendous run, they got off to an amazing start to the game. We need to be more cohesive as a team because we played a little sloppily in every phase of the game today. The most crucial thing is that we managed to prevail despite everything. However, we need to figure out how to improve.
