Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
The 25-year-old was on loan at French club Rennes last season and he did reasonably well for them. He is unwanted at Tottenham and the player is expected to leave the club this summer.
According to Tottenham insider Paul O Keefe, the 25-year-old Welsh international defender is set to join Leeds United and he will have a medical with them tomorrow.
Apparently, the Championship outfit will sign the 25-year-old on loan and the two parties are looking to include an obligation to buy in the deal.

Rodon clearly does not have a future at Tottenham and it makes sense for him to move on permanently and focus on his career. The 25-year-old needs regular football at this stage of his career and Leeds will be able to provide him with that opportunity.
The Whites seemed quite vulnerable defensively last season, and they were eventually relegated from the Premier League. They will look to bounce back strongly and return to the top flight as soon as possible. Rodon could prove to be a quality acquisition for them and he will certainly help them tighten up defensively.
The Welsh international is still only 25 and he is likely to improve further with game time and experience. If Leeds can sign him on loan this summer with a reasonably priced obligation to buy, it could prove to be a smart piece of business for them in the long run.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Gent’s Gift Orban in recent days.
Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad recently reported that Spurs had made contact with the Gent star’s entourage.
Tottenham have already brought in one new forward in Alejo Veliz, but it looks like they may want more.
That’s understandable, as Spurs need to start thinking about potential long-term replacements for Harry Kane.
And on Wednesday night, Orban certainly made a huge impression towards Ange Postecoglou and his other suitors.
The 21-year-old scored a hat-trick to help his side put one foot in the door of the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Orban’s treble helped Gent beat Pogon Szczecin 5-0 in the first leg of their ECL third qualifying round.
As per Football Talent Scout, it was the Nigeria international’s third hat-trick for his club.
In addition, Orban’s tally over the past seven months reads 25 goals, 25 games.
Clearly, you can see why Tottenham are reportedly eyeing Orban. He looks like a star in the making.
Better still, The Times have reported that the goal machine’s price tag is a relatively affordable £23million.
Tottenham “think that a deal could be made for about £20million”, added the report.
In the best-case scenario, Kane stays at Tottenham, and obviously he’ll be leading the line.
Alejo Veliz will be learning the ropes and looking to get up to speed, with a mid to long-term view.
You don’t want to put too much pressure on him to deputise for Kane and shoulder the goal responsibility just yet.
With that in mind, a striker who’s a bit more experienced and proven in European football would fit the bill.
Orban certainly ticks these boxes. He’s a ‘lightning-quick’ striker with ‘no shortage of desirable qualities for a forward’.
For less than £25million, he could well end up being one of the bargains of the century if he meets his potential.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a move to sign Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic should Harry Kane leave this summer.
That’s according to 90 Min, with the outlet sharing Spurs’ list of potential replacements for their all-time top goalscorer.
The list includes the likes of Lille forward Jonathan David, Gent’s Gift Orban and Montpellier’s Elye Wahi.
Tottenham are expected to target a younger forward player should Kane complete a switch to Bayern Munich this summer, but it seems they are considering a more experienced option in Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Of course, Kane’s future remains up in the air but is expected to be resolved before the Premier League gets underway this weekend.
And if Spurs were to replace their all-time top goalscorer with Mitrovic, they’d be getting a player who has publicly backed them to win the Premier League in the past.
Mitrovic wanted Tottenham to win the Premier League
Speaking to Serbian outlet Novosti back in March 2016, Mitrovic admitted to wanting Tottenham to win the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino.
“Honestly, I want Tottenham to win the title,” he said.
“I like the principle of pushing their young players, and the coach Pochettino is excellent.”
Of course, Tottenham eventually fell short during the 2015-16 campaign as Leicester City went on to lift the title.
But there was a lot to admire about Pochettino’s Spurs side during that period and they even pushed for the crown once again the following season.
Mitrovic made a huge impact for Fulham last season as he played a key role in helping Marco Silva’s men establish their Premier League status.
The 28-year-old netted 14 goals in 24 league appearances but spent a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being banned for violent conduct.
The Serbian striker would certainly provide goals at Spurs and has proven to be a real threat for Fulham. But Tottenham seem to be heading in a different direction under Postecoglou and are more likely to target a younger forward should Kane depart.
Fulham are also expected to demand around £50 million for the striker and it’s difficult to see Spurs matching this price tag.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is in the market for a midfielder if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg departs, and Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher is wanted for that role.
Who will Spurs sign?
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, young centre-back Ashley Phillips, defender Micky van de Ven, playmaker James Maddison, winger Manor Solomon and striker Alejo Veliz have all officially joined Spurs this summer, but there could be plenty more to come.
These deals follow on from permanent moves for Pedro Porro, who signed from Sporting Lisbon after his original loan stint, and Dejan Kulusevski folllowing an 18-month loan spell from Juventus.
Spurs are also actively trying to sign another centre-back, as confirmed by Postecoglou himself recently, who said he wants defenders who can play in an aggressive formation.
“It’s not done yet,” said Postecoglou at the weekend.
“We need bolstering in that central defensive area. We need defenders who can work in an aggressive formation, defend well & behind them. We’ll be looking to bring in a couple in that area in the coming days.”
Following on from that comment, the Spurs head coach updated his stance after Tottenham’s entertaining pre-season encounter with Barca last night – saying it could largely depend on outgoings.
“We’ve to see what happens with outgoings,” explained Postecoglou.
“But, the potential is there to bring in one more centre back after van de Ven.”
It appears exits could well be crucial in determining Tottenham’s future transfer activity, with the potential signing of a new midfielder being no exception.
That is according to The Telegraph and journalist Mike McGrath, who claim Postecoglou is personally in the market for a new central midfield ace should Hojbjerg depart.
The Dane has been heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid this window and some outlets suggest that it is going to happen sooner rather than later.
Gallagher, who could well leave Chelsea before deadline day, has been mentioned as a target and The Telegraph claim he is “wanted” to potentially succeed Hojbjerg.
Nothing else is said beyond that line in terms of more detail, but it appears Gallagher to Spurs is still very much on.
How good is Conor Gallagher?
The Englishman’s best top flight campaign to date came during a 2021/2022 loan spell at Crystal Palace, where he finished the season as Patrick Vieira’s best-performer by average match rating (WhoScored).
Gallagher also racked up eight goals and three assists that year, showcasing he has what it takes to become a successful player at Tottenham.
Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, commenting on the player’s development last year, shared how impressed he was with Gallagher’s development.
“His development is extraordinary and outstanding,” said Tuchel in 2022.
“He is one of the key players at Crystal Palace and he has made a huge step in his development up front.
“He was a pleasure to coach in pre-season – he has so much positive energy, so much energy in general and so much work-rate to give that he can of course be a big help and a big influence.”
However, if a deal is to be done, Chelsea may need to lower their reported £50 million valuation.
