Chargers-Packers Wednesday’s Injury Report: Two Starters Out, Quay Walker Back
Due to a shoulder injury that prevented him from playing in the Packers’ loss at Pittsburgh, cornerback Jaire Alexander missed practice on Wednesday as the team prepared for their Sunday matchup against the Chargers.

DE GREEN BAY, WI Though they weren’t the same players who were inactive for the Steelers game, two starting Green Bay Packers players did not take part in the first drill on Wednesday.

Jaire Alexander, a cornerback who missed the Pittsburgh game because of a shoulder injury, was riding a bike in the Don Hutson Center’s back corner. Rudy Ford, the safety, was also back in the starting lineup against the Steelers after sitting out the Rams game due to a calf injury. He is coping with a biceps injury this time.

Alexander, according to LaFleur, “didn’t practice.” “He may be improving, but he’s still not ready,”

Alexander and linebacker Quay Walker did not play for Pittsburgh. After missing the previous two weeks due to a groin injury, Walker returned to practice and completed drills with practice squad member Austin Ajiake, veteran De’Vondre Campbell, and stand-in starter Isaiah McDuffie.

Speaking of new players, the team on Monday claimed Kyu Blu Kelly, a fifth-round selection selected by the Ravens this season, off waivers and he made his practice debut.

Either way, it would be interesting to see where Alexander, Walker, and Ford stand. The team’s All-Pro cornerback is Alexander; Walker leads the group in tackles and tackles for losses despite missing the previous two games; and Ford leads the team in tackles, interceptions, and passes defensed, among other stats.

Given that the explosive Los Angeles Chargers will be visiting Lambeau Field on Sunday, their standing will be especially crucial.

When it comes to passing yards, touchdowns, and passer rating, NFL quarterback Justin Herbert is among the top ten. In the Detroit Lions’ defeat the previous week, he completed four touchdown passes. Keenan Allen, the NFL’s top receiver with 73 receptions, ranks fourth in yards gained and sixth in touchdowns. One of the best dual-threat running backs in the NFL is Austin Ekeler, a running back who led the league in total touchdowns in both 2021 and 2022.

The Chargers’ offense, which ranks sixth in scoring, is not the reason they are only 4-5. They have a 1-2 record when scoring thirty or more points, including the 41-38 loss to Detroit.

LaFleur had shifted the one permitted padded practice from Thursday to Wednesday in the revised practice schedule. This week, the team won’t be using pads for work.

Given our current physical state, I thought it best to look out for our guys. He remarked, “It was a mental day.”

The newest linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers recently left one of the biggest corporations in the world to join one of the most well-liked sports teams worldwide.

Shortly after the Steelers made their practice squad announcement today, we found out that Amazon had lost a valuable employee. The player in question is linebacker Tyler Murray.

After losing Cole Holcomb to a season-ending knee injury in the team’s 20-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 9, and Kwon Alexander to an Achilles tear this past Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, the Black & Gold are in desperate need of reinforcements at the second level of their defense.

Following the draft, Murray, an undrafted rookie free agent from Memphis, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals and made an appearance on their practice squad this season. During his senior season, he started every one of the Tigers’ 13 games, accumulating 67 tackles and six stops for a loss.

It’s undoubtedly simple to support a player like Murray, who, should Pittsburgh’s injuries worsen, may get some playing time soon.
