Ravens Nest CB Put WR Laquon Treadwell on injured reserve and place Jalyn Amour-Davis on it.
Jalyn Armour-Davis is a second-year cornerback for the Ravens who will be out until the end of the regular season after the team placed him on injured reserve on Saturday.
The special teams player Armour-Davis hasn’t practiced or played since sustaining a concussion during the team’s victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. (He did not practice on Thursday or Friday, but was thought to be a limited participant in the walk-through on Wednesday.) Along with hip and hamstring injuries this season, the 2022 fourth-round pick also had to deal with what the team described as a head injury early in his rookie campaign.
With two games left in the regular season and a postseason berth secured, Armour-Davis has six tackles and 28 defensive snaps in eight games in 2023. He cannot be designated to return from injured reserve until he has missed at least four games.
In August, defensive backs coach Dennard Wilson stated, “Jalyn has all of the tools.” “He moves with good grace. He is incredibly fast. His main flaw is his sheer consistency. Every single day, every excellent player in the National Football League is dependable. He thus says, “Hey, we need to ramp it up a little bit more,” on some days, and his confidence grows with each play. He’s always in position, you notice. It’s now important to finish while the ball is in the air.
The Ravens added wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to the 53-man roster as a corresponding move. He joins Nelson Agholor, Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, and Zay Flowers as the Ravens’ other four first-round selections at wide receiver.
Prior to their matchup with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Ravens also activated defensive back Andrew Adams and outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon from the practice squad.
