Coach Brent Pry of Virginia Tech football has once again shown his talent for recruiting.

Brent Pry, the football coach at Virginia Tech, is still doing amazing things with the transfer portal.

Brent Pry, the football coach at Virginia Tech, was aware of some of his needs even before the spring transfer portal opened. After the Hokies’ Spring Game on April 13, Pry stated that Pop Watson had surpassed Dylan Wittke to become the QB2 behind Kyron Drones. Watson was the former Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year. Pry continued by saying that they would be looking to add a quarterback through the soon-to-be transfer portal.

A few days later, Wittke made that even more important by logging onto the transfer portal prior to committing to Minnesota. That left Watson, Drones, and incoming freshman Davi Belfort for the Hokies. Pry once again proved to be a winner in the portal, proving that an addition was necessary.

Better yet for Virginia Tech, Schlee is someone you could feel very comfortable starting for. He also has one more year of eligibility, so if Drones decides to leave via the transfer portal or the NFL, he won’t be able to stop Watson from playing next season. Pry delivered yet another masterful performance, creating a deeper and more talented room for the 2024 season.
