And he claims West Ham had a deal in place for French attacker Elye Wahi until Paqueta’s move to Manchester City fell through due to betting charges.
When Wahi was at Monpellier, West Ham was extensively connected with a move for him, and the player wanted to join.
Most Hammers fans would have preferred to maintain Paqueta over buying a new striker, but will the club come to regret not doing both?
