Larkeche is set to start for QPR.

QPR’s Ziyad Larkeche might make his full league debut this weekend.

Kenneth Paal, the team’s first-choice winger, has been on international duty with Suriname, appearing in games against Grenada and Cuba.

Paal is scheduled to return to London on Thursday, and his fitness will be evaluated ahead of Rangers’ home game against Sunderland.

Larkeche, who turns 21 next week, is expected to play against the Black Cats – and may even start, having pleased manager Gareth Ainsworth.

It would be Larkeche’s first Championship start for Rangers since joining from Fulham during the summer.

He started the Carabao Cup defeat to Norwich last month and came on as a late replacement in the recent triumph over Middlesbrough.

Lyndon Dykes is expected to be in QPR’s squad for Saturday’s encounter.

Dykes returned to action for Scotland as a second-half replacement in their loss to England, after been sidelined since suffering a knee injury against Norwich.

Other Rangers players who have been on international service include Sinclair Armstrong, who made his senior Republic of Ireland debut and later scored for their Under-21 team, Osman Kakay, and Paul Smyth.

Ilias Chair stayed at QPR after being left out of Morocco’s squad and after predicted interest in him prior to the recent transfer deadline did not materialize.

The club expected interest in Chair in the closing weeks of the transfer window, and Leeds were said to have made an attempt to sign him, but no bids were made for any of Rangers’ players.
